Upland Angler Lodge is nestled in the Tower Rock Formations, with tremendous views of the Wolf Creek Canyon area. One can walk in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark along the river's edge or take a quick jaunt over to the bridge from the movie "The Untouchables." Spot wildlife such as soaring eagles, deer, the occasional black bear in the fall, and local Mountain Goats that frequent along "Recreation Road" and "The Untouchables" bridge. Upland Angler Lodge and Outfitters await to welcome you to one of the country's most prolific dry fly fisheries, located in one of the premier locations along the world renowned Blue Ribbon fishery of the Missouri River.
Abundant numbers of rainbow and brown trout (30yr mean of ~3036 per mile) offer every level of angler an opportunity to create memories that last a lifetime. Whether climbing in a jet boat to take on the famous "Land of the Giants" or dry fly casting from a drift boat, our renowned Outfitter, Dan Troupe, and his local guides are prepared to bring their years of Montana knowledge and expertise to ensure the best Montana fly fishing experience possible.
Guests will relax in a beautifully remodeled log cabin, which was originally built in the early 1900's. Great care was taken to preserve the character and charm of the original Mountain Palace Tavern, while the historic culinary reputation of the old Fly Fishers' Inn is brought back with our new Chef Madeleine Cantoni's personal touch.
Luxurious sleeping accommodations include 8 private rooms, each built with an attention to detail. Comfort is the primary focus, from bedding to heated tile floors, instant- hot water showers/sinks bathrooms, individual heating and air-conditioning, individual Keurig coffee machines, charging stations, and decks overlooking the amazing scenery. So, take a hot-shower, grab a cup of coffee, sit-out out on the deck, and drink in the surrounding views, as you get ready to experience some of the best Montana has to offer.
